What are the Facts and Figures of Your World?

  • 6.8 Billion People on Earth
  • 5.3 Billion People have a Mobile Phone
  • 2.6 Billion People do not have Basic Water Sanitation
  • 2.1 Billion People have Internet Access, are Online and Connected

=> 77% of the World Population have a Mobile Phone but only 38% have access to a Toilet

=> 26% of the World Population are Online with Access to Internet, 26% of those are on Facebook

=> If every Internet user could be giving, compassionate and caring to just 2 people in the developing countries – no human would ever go hungry or die from no water, the extreme cold/heat or disease!

  • 1.3 Billion People in China
  • 1.2 Billion People are Overweight in the World, 348 Million are Obese
  • 1.1 Billion People in India
  • 1.1 Billion People are Starving, Under Nourished or Without Food
  • 1.1 Billion People are without Clean Drinking Water
  • > 500 Million People on Facebook

Dark Blue – Very Well Developed, Blue – Well Developed, Light Blue – Medium Developed, Black – Least Developed and Grey – Unavailable

  • 25% of the World Countries are Very Well Developed Countries (with Advanced Economies and Established Human Development Infrastructure)
  • 30% of the World Countries are Well Developed
  • 25% of the World Countries are Medium Developed
  • 17% of the World Countries are Least Developed
  • 3% Unavilable Data
  • The Earth is made up of 97% Saltwater, 3% Freshwater
  • Only 1% of the Freshwater in the world is readily accessible and available for drinking
  • Energy is required to convert saline water to potable water
  • 40% of the food produces in the US alone is thrown away or wasted in homes, retail and restaurants
  • 17.5 Million Kilograms of food is wasted in Toronto every month
  • 33% of the food purchased in the UK is tossed out each every year, which could be prevented with better grocery shopping and planning

=> 50% More People are without Fresh Drinking Water than those Connected on Facebook

=> If the 1.3 Billion Overweight People ate less for just one day, this amount of food could feed the 1.1 Billion People that are Starving for a week

=> If the Earth was equally divided among all of us, we would each receive 4.5 acres. Imagine everything you need (food, water, clothes, shelter, gadgets, resources) would come those 4.5 acres of land, instead of the 22.3 acres needed to sustain the average North American lifestyle.

That’s an excessive rate of 5 times what the individual human “footprint” should be.

Final Thoughts:

The World is seriously out of balance.

Balance needs to be restored to Mother Earth from all angles of humanity.

Less power, ego, money, war, genocide, greed, anger and pride

More unity, passion, love, compassion, happiness, harmony and peace

Global bio diversity is quickly declining, so dangerously low that the eco food chain will soon be depleted in our lifetime if we don’t change our eating, dietary habits, food waste footprint, water crisis, etc.
